Meet Art Cohen
Art Cohen is a community advocate with more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning technology, business development, public policy, education advocacy, and nonprofit governance. His professional career includes executive and leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies and innovative startups, providing extensive experience in strategic planning, innovation, licensing, budgeting, organizational growth, and building partnerships across the public and private sectors. In addition to his business career, Art has dedicated decades to public service through leadership positions with civic organizations, education foundations, community commissions, and local government, giving him firsthand experience in public policy, transparent governance, fiscal stewardship, and community engagement.
Originally from Philadelphia, Art earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Drexel University and an MBA from San José State University. Throughout his career in Silicon Valley, he has led business development, product innovation, and technology partnerships while remaining deeply engaged in public service. His community leadership includes serving as Vice Chair of the Santa Clara County Ukraine Citizen Diplomacy Commission, President of the Silicon Valley Democratic Club, Vice President of the Cupertino Library Foundation, a member of the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and a volunteer with local schools and education organizations. This combination of executive leadership, advanced education, and public policy experience has shaped Art's collaborative, data-driven approach to solving problems and serving the community.
